ABOUT CYPRUS

Welcome to the year-round island.
Enjoy a tour around Aphrodite’s Cyprus. The Mediterranean island at the crossroads of three continents. There are Championship Golf courses, inviting beaches, and breathtaking mountain trails.
it’s easy to see why you’ll come back again.

BEACHES
With a wealth of beaches to choose from, you’re bound to find one that suits your taste. From the quiet backwaters of the western peninsula, to the lively resorts in the east, the island has something for everyone.
The eastern coast is famous for its fine white sandy beaches with shallow turquoise waters. Deep water bays with rocky outcrops are perfect for snorkelling or diving. The long finely packed grey sand of the southern coast lend themselves to long winter walks or jogging, while the secluded coves of the western coast beckon when you want to be alone.
FOOD
With emphasis on fresh local ingredients, a pungent mix of herbs and spices and a light spattering of olive oil, Cypriot food is essentially Mediterranean, similar to that of Greece and with a hint of the Middle East and Asia Minor.
Both poets and travellers past have praised the flavours of the island. In present times doctors and health specialists have added their voices in extolling the virtues of the Mediterranean diet. The grains and pulses, sun-ripened fresh fruit and vegetables, high-protein fish, lean meat and poultry, olive oil and wine are both a healthy option as well as an irresistible temptation.
WEDDINGS
Whether you’re tying the knot for the first time, enjoying a second honeymoon, or celebrating your jubilee, romance is always in the air in the land of Aphrodite, the goddess of love herself.
Cyprus provides the perfect backdrop to your love with some of the most romantic locations from secluded coves to sun-drenched beaches with sparkling blue seas and breath-taking sunsets.

KAYAKING

Using the very latest 'sit-on' type kayaks from Perception, you have access to some stunning coastlines where you can enjoy kayaking almost year round. The calm waters around Pafos (Paphos) provide almost unlimited opportunity to explore a unique area. Sea caves, deserted coves, rock bridges and stacks provide excitement and beauty in a safe setting. And, from time to time, conditions permitting, kayak surfing is an option for the more adventurous !

Sea caves, limestone stacks, surf, natural rock bridges, rips, reef stranded cargo ships, tiny offshore islands. These are just some of the things we encounter on our sea kayak trips. The south west coast of Cyprus around Paphos is perfect for a canoe trip with a whole range of different features and conditions for every one to enjoy.

The Classic Sea Caves tour is the most popular. We drive a short distance to a secluded natural bay. Here we launch and go through some of the basics for beginners. We need to make sure every body can control their boat safely while having fun so we put you through a series of fun games and challenges to test your boat control and eagerness to get wet! Now the tour can begin. We leave the bay and head along the rocky coast to an area of amazing limestone erosion that has formed stacks and arches that we paddle through and it's here that you can try your luck in the 'Washing Machine' a deceptive rotational current that will have you pointing every direction but forwards! From here we paddle on to the sea caves, an impressive series of wet caves an average of 30 meters long. We paddle right inside about half a dozen of the caves and explore many features. These features give the caves their names, so you can visit 'Jonah', 'Purple Haze', 'Standing Room Only' and 'The Big One', to name a few. These caves are only accessible by kayak so we will have them all to ourselves!

After the caves we head about 1 kilometer off shore to a tiny uninhabited island which sees many interesting sea birds roosting on it's rocky out crops. To see these birds swooping and circling in their natural habitat is something else. A close lap of the island leaves us heading back to the bay where we started. Relax afterwards with a swim or some time on the beach. Suitable for all ages/abilities but is subject to sea/weather conditions.

PRICE £35 PER PERSON
